First Day in Tianjin

20 May 2017 - Mateo Atwi

Today we arrived in Tianjin after a nearly three hour bus ride from Beijing. We were escorted by Tianjin University student volunteers. Tiago and I stayed in a hotel by the airport last night. Despite having slept on all three flights and a 11 hour time difference, we both slept the whole night.
Tiago and I quickly became friends with Fei, a super friendly student volunteer. He took us for a walk around the nearby universities to get dumplings. We picked up some oranges and bananas from an open air market then we biked back. Bikes nearly litter the streets. They have locks on them that can be unlocked with the combination from an app.
Tianjin is a seemingly endless sprawl of high rises and crowded apartments. The city is home to more than 15 million people.

Yours in Christ Jesus!
Mateo

Psalms 96:6
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
